Castings on all A I B's iron beds are structural joints just like the antiques, not merely ornamental. These permanent, solid metal decorative castings ('chills' to antique enthusiasts) are hand poured, hand filed and hand detailed, for high definition clarity and structural strength.
This 'collectable construction' feature has been proven since the late 19th century and allows us to offer a lifetime structural warranty on every American Iron Bed Company bed.

Trundle Bed
Our versatile Trundle Beds are also hand-crafted in Los Angeles, California. A top spring provides maximum support for your standard 39" x 75" twin mattress. The frame rests 15 inches from the floor and eliminates the need for a boxspring. A 14 inch clearance allows for an optional pop-up trundle unit to store a second standard twin mattress.

Optional Pop-Up Trundle Unit
Unit stores beneath, pulls out and pop ups to match the Daybed or Trundle Bed height. Accommodates a standard 39" x 75" twin mattress with a maxmium depth of 8 inches.
